Chipton-Ross is seeking a Principal Software Development Analyst for an opportunity in Melbourne, FL.
o As an intermediate developer contribute to software development in an Agile Scrum process following guidance and established processes from technical leads.
o Follow best practices as well as established processes and guidance from technical leads.
o Design, develop, and maintain scalable SharePoint sites, including customizations, maintaining permissions, and supporting multiple users/projects/deadlines.
o Working with leads, complete some SharePoint to .NET conversion projects with minimal supervision.
o Revises existing systems and procedures to correct deficiencies and maintain more effective data handling, conversion, input/output requirements, and storage.
o Manages all aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between various stakeholders.
o Works independently with little oversight, has the willingness to learn new technologies/complete training/provide meaningful input as well as follow guidance from technical leadership.
o Is able to receive requirements at a high level and derive lower level requirements by working with the technical/team leadership, product owners, and stakeholders.
o Candidate should be able to perform all phases of the development lifecycle: initial requirements gathering, architecture design, development, testing, and training.
o Ideal applicant will be enthusiastic about process improvement, efficiency, excellent customer service, and working with different teams from all functions.
o Candidate should be able to juggle multiple assignments and manage changing priorities.
o Familiarity with modern source control and project management systems such as GIT and Azure Dev Ops.
o Strong time management and communications skills are highly desired.o Estimating tasks and work assignments
o Maintaining existing code in legacy applications as well as develop new green field applications
o Excellent oral and written communication skills as well as reading comprehension skills are essential.
o Bachelor's Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university
o Willingness to develop and maintain some SharePoint sites
o Able to work onsite in Melbourne, FL (but not a requirement to start)
o Experience with HTML, CSS, SASS/SCSS, and/or LESS.
o Proficient with the following: Consuming/Creating RESTful APIs, JSON, ASP.NET Core, and/or TypeScript
o Experience working with an SOA and/or Microservices.
o Knowledge of the concepts/technologies related to SOA/Microservices, such as communication methods, service discovery, scalability, gateways, deployment/containers.
o Experience with OOTB workflows
o Proficient with OOTB web parts
o Extremely Skilled at SharePoint permission maintenance and user support with OOTB SharePoint issues and light customization
o Experienced site collection administrator and site owner
o SharePoint 2010 and 2013
o Master's Degree in a STEM discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline from an accredited university
o Thorough understanding of Aerospace effectivity management principles
o Experience with Agile Processes and Methodologies in particular SCRUM
o Excellent oral and written communication skills
