Chipton-Ross is seeking a Java Liferay Developer (Mid Level) for an opportunity in Irving, TX.
The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman's FAA NAS Adaptation Services Environment
(NASE) program. The NASE/ADX system fulfills a critical need in support of the NAS operational environment. The ADX architecture provides a scalable and extensible framework that facilitates centralized access to essential aeronautical and adaptation(as-adapted) data currently distributed across numerous legacy and emerging Air Traffic Control (ATC) systems. This environment provides secure Enterprise access to critical aeronautical and adaptation assets and allows the FAA to organize its functions as services rather than as static applications.
Roles and responsibilities:
o Building and coding applications and/or modules using JAVA & Liferay.
o Providing patches and upgrades to existing systems. May design graphical user interfaces to meet the specific needs of users.
o Preparing operating instructions, compiling documentation of program development, and analyzing system capabilities to resolve questions of program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques, and controls.
• Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience as JAVA programmer
• Must have a minimum of 1 year of Liferay development experience
• Experience using jBOSS, J2EE, Spring, Hibernate, Unix, Linux and/or Perl are preferred.
• FAA experience a plus.
Accredited Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related from an accredited college or university.
FULL TIME/5/40 WORK WEEK
WORK HOURS: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
