Description
Chipton-Ross is seeking a Quality Technician for an opening in Oakwood Village, OH.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Quality Technician will work closely in a collaborative environment with all departments on a regular basis. They will primarily be responsible for the timely inspection of electrical and mechanical products and the subsequent recording of results. They will make independent inspection decisions from moderately complex drawings and documentation, inspection specifications, and verbal or written instructions.
Set up and perform routine inspections using various gauges, machinery, and test equipment.
Establish product conformity using detailed inspection instructions.
Document and disseminate inspection results.
Participates on the Internal Quality Audit team.
Assist QA Engineer in investigating external and internal complaints. Perform engineering evaluation per test protocol and compile inspection reports.
Ensure all records and documentation are kept in accordance with procedures. Champion Good Documentation Practices.
Participate in plant continuous improvement efforts, especially those related to Quality Control and Quality assurance.
Other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawing and specifications.
Must have worked efficiently in a team environment.
Experience using word processing, spread sheet, and / or document control software a plus.
Familiar with an ISO 9001 compliant quality management system.
Preferred experience with other regulatory type requirements (RoHS, FDA, IVD directive, IEC, ect..)

Able to work with minimal supervision.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Basic understanding of 1 or more analytical instruments such as TLD readers, multimeters, oscilloscopes, XRF testers, optical comparators, and/or hand measurement tools desired, but not required.
Strong computer knowledge including Microsoft Suite.

EDUCATION:
Accredited High School Diploma/GED with 3-5 years experience in electrical or mechanical inspection preferred.

1st Shift
Full-Time

Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
