Chipton-Ross is seeking a Technical Writer for an opening in Millersburg, PA.

This position is responsible the writing various documents to be used in a high-paced manufacturing environment. This will include standard operating procedures, machine specifications, troubleshooting guides, lock out/tag out documents, training protocols and support with validation protocols. You will be responsible for providing direct support to all levels of the organization including Engineering and Operations teams.

Follow all safety and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) requirements. Document troubleshooting guides on the manufacturing floor. Document Standard Operating Procedures, Standard Operating Set-Points, Lock Out/Tag Out procedures, machine specifications and validation protocols as required. Audit and modify documents towards continuous improvement. Work with cross-functional teams to collect required information on the manufacturing floor. Support execution of new equipment validation tests as needed. Be flexible in work schedule with potential to work nights and weekends as needed.

Excellent writing skills. Expertise with Microsoft® Windows® platforms. Flexible and proactive with the ability to work in a high-paced manufacturing environment with constant change. Ability to work alone or as a member of a team. Strong communication skills. Highly organized. Excellent attention to detail. Ability to work to deadlines, estimate work timing, and escalate issues as appropriate. Accommodating to flexible work schedule (nights and weekends). Prior knowledge working in a regulated environment preferred. Excellent technical writing skills. Ability to work independently and on a team to achieve established project goals. Effective oral and written communication, planning, and organization skills.

Additional Qualifications (Plus)
2+ years in technical writing in a manufacturing setting
Experience with creating User Requirement. Specifications (URS), Functional Requirement Specifications (FRS), Field Acceptance Testing (FAT) Protocols, Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) Protocols and Validation Protocols (Installation, Operational, Performance Qualifications (IQ/OQ/PQ)). Experience working in a cGMP environment.

Accredited BA/BS in communication or technical field with emphasis on technical documentation or equivalent years of experience.

1st Shift

Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
