Chipton-Ross is seeking a Application Database Administrator 3 for an opportunity in Baton Rouge, LA.
Implements and maintains smooth operation and physical design of databases. Conducts performance tuning of indexes and databases in general. Reviews database design and integration of systems, provides backup recovery and makes recommendations regarding enhancements and/or improvements. Maintains security and integrity controls. Formulates policies, procedures, and standards relating to database management, and monitors transaction activity and utilization. May develop stored procedures and/or triggers. Roles and Responsibilities:
•Data Extraction, Transformation, and Loading
•Database Backup and Recovery
•Specialized Data Handling
•SQL Server, Administration and Performance Tuning •Index design
•Use DMO’s to collect query data, index data •Extended Events
•SSIS or other relevant ETL software Preferred
•Familiarity with Web Based Applications, Entity Framework
•Database DevOps Practices
•PowerBI/Tableau or other BI Platforms
•Data Warehousing design
•SQL Server concurrency and isolation
•Data movement features of SQL Server
Accredited Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Software Engineering or a related discipline from an accredited institution and a minimum of 6 years of relevant expertise and experience administering application databases. Master's Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Software Engineering or a related discipline from an accredited institution and a minimum of 4 years of relevant expertise and experience administering application databases.
WORK HOURS: 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM
Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
