Chipton-Ross is seeking a Quality Control Analyst for an opening in High Point, NC.

The Analyst I is responsible for the complete testing and results documentation of any of the following: Raw Materials, In-Process, Finished Product, Calibrations, Stability, Technical Service samples or projects within the QC Chemistry Laboratory, in a manner consistent with established standards.

Up to 10% Calibrations/ Standardizations/ Preparatory Set Up
• Perform calibrations of instruments such as balances, pH meters and IR as required by Work Instructions.
• Performs standardizations of volumetric/titrimetric solutions, and prepares dissolution
media and HPLC mobile phase, among other solutions.

Collect purified water for testing.

Up to 80% Testing/Documentation:
• Perform core techniques or methods as assigned for testing on raw materials, in-process,
release, stability, environmental or technical service samples or projects as assigned.
• May require guidance until proficient in analytical instrumentation such as HPLC and
GC. Ensure that the calibration of critical laboratory equipment is current before use.

Up to 5% Housekeeping:
• Clean and organize all laboratory areas including bench, sinks, drawers, cabinets, solvent
cabinets, fume hoods, refrigerators, freezers, desiccators and storage areas.
• Maintain laboratory instruments disposing of wastes, cleaning them and replacing
consumable parts as required.
• Dispose of solvent, acids and other wastes according to procedures and local
regulations. Clean HPLC and dissolution systems after use.

Up to 5% Training and Development
• Participate in ongoing training for the development of skills and responsibility with an
emphasis on technology.
• Assist training of other analysts in areas of expertise.

Compliance: Actively contribute to the overall goals of the company. Follow all company
policies, standard operating procedures, cGMPs, work instructions, methods and analyst’s

Productivity: Multi tasks and schedules time to meet required workload. Actively seek
additional assignments when testing in primary area of responsibility is completed. As required
by the group’s workload, is available for off-shift or weekend assignments, or for
emergency/problem situations.

Written Communication: Record all data and documents all activities in accordance with
applicable guidelines, SOPs and Company policies. Documents all aspects of assignments in
laboratory notebook. Use the laboratory data system to analyze and report results.

Verbal Communication: Maintain continuous communication with analysts to facilitate their
work. Notify the supervisor or delegate immediately of any possible situation about productivity
or activities that require decision making beyond his/her scope. Maintain and support a positive
workplace attitude towards individuals and company.

Initiative: Initiate and investigate opportunities for minimizing or avoiding costs for lab supplies
and equipment. Maintain inventory of lab supplies. Assure that the equipment is maintained and
supplies are not wasted. Independently pursue training and/or learning opportunities to enhance
personal skills and share skills with other team members.

Safety & security: Maintain an organized workspace and complete laboratory housekeeping
assignments. Demonstrate a positive attitude towards safety and housekeeping audits. Use
proper personal protective equipment when required. No lost time work accidents caused by
negligence or unsafe acts. Identify and resolve unsafe situations. Immediately report any
accident or near miss to Supervisor or delegate. Secure area of responsibility when required.
Protect confidential and restricted information.

Accredited High School Diploma/GED


Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
