- Chipton-Ross is seeking an Inspection / Calibration Team Lead for an opening in Muskegon, MI.
The position covers all company product lines for inspection (4 hourly employees), layout (3 hourly employees) and Calibration (2 hourly employees).
Ensure calibrations of company gauging is done per ISO, internal, customer and corporate requirements
Create and maintain calibration schedules (approximately 4500 gauges/5000 + calibrations)
Work with team leads on schedule/turn in
Address any calibration issues
Work in QIS for rejected gauging
Purchase and outsource gauging as needed
-Manage inspection activities per internal and external requirements for all CPS product lines
Ensure inspectors are trained (including maintaining NDT certifications)
Support production needs to meet customer requirements and schedules
Improve inspection techniques and efficiencies
-Run CMM/Layout program
Support production needs to meet internal and customer needs
Create, revise CMM programs as needed
Review, and approve CMM programs methodology to ensure they properly cover customer and manufacturing requirements.
Minimum of 5 years in CMM (supervision or operation) experience
Minimum of 5 years of supervision experience
Accredited High School Diploma/GED
Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
