Description
Chipton-Ross is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician 2 for an opening in Bingen, WA.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs work in one or more of the maintenance trades: carpentry, plumbing, painting, machine and equipment repair, sheet metal fabrication, and welding. Performs complete installation, maintenance, adjustments, troubleshooting and repairs on company equipment and prepare requisitions. Conducts special, regulatory and/or periodic inspections. Assembles office and workstation furniture and equipment, and supports office moves and reconfigurations. Utilizes a variety of hand, power, test tools and equipment. Maintains maintenance and repair logs. May estimate labor and equipment costs. Operates company vehicles.

Knowledge
Full knowledge of the job. Substantial acquaintance with and understanding of general aspects of the job with a broad understanding of the detailed aspects of the job.

Problem Solving
General supervision and instructions given for routine work, and detailed instructions given for new activities or special assignments.

Discretion
Errors may be detected and corrected but may cause moderate loss of time or customer/user dissatisfaction.

Contact
Contacts are typically with individuals within own department and occasionally with contacts outside own organization. Contacts involve obtaining or providing information or data requiring some explanation or interpretation.

Competencies Adaptability
Maintains effectiveness when experiencing major changes in work tasks or the work environment; adjusts effectively to work within new work structures, processes, requirements, and/or cultures.

Administrative Actions
Ability to perform varied administrative activities such as data input, record or log keeping, information monitoring and follow-up, etc.

Maintain Valid License
Ability to possess and maintain a valid driving license.

Maintenance Programs
Knowledge of preventive and corrective maintenance programs (e.g., concepts, development, implementation).

Skilled Trades
Ability to trouble shooting and repair machinery and machine tools. Ability to perform various skilled trades such as carpentry, plumbing, painting, machine and equipment repair, sheet metal fabrication or welding.

Troubleshooting
The ability to use established physical, mechanical, or scientific principles and perform appropriate tests to identify and solve problems encountered on the job. This includes the ability to locate and isolate the problem, identify possible solutions, and select approaches that are practical and effective.

Work Standards
Sets high standards of performance for self and others; assumes responsibility and accountability for successfully completing assignments or tasks; self-imposes standards of excellence rather than having standards imposed.

EDUCATION:
High school degree or equivalent and 2 years of related experience.

WORK HOURS: FULL TIME//9-80 WORK WEEK

Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
