Chipton-Ross is seeking a Manufacturing Planner III for an opening in Santa Clara, CA.

The Manufacturing Planner III plans and manages SO projects utilizing plant capacity plan and master production schedule to optimize customer delivery expectations working in hand with other departments with in Operations, as part of the Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning process. This role is responsible for developing, maintaining and implementing optimal production plans for custom engineer to order in a low volume/high mix, make to order environment, and for preparing data and analyzing capacity requirements, key performance metrics, inventory trends while actively engaging in the proposal and implementation of new processes and process improvements. Provides inputs to or generates ad-hoc reports and participates in cross-functional teams and projects as required.

Monitor actual and planned capacity across multiple value streams and leverage the capacity plan to ensure the creation of feasible supply plans and to trend chart capacity and resulting value stream lead times
Ensure the demand and supply plans are balanced, identifying imbalances, creating and cross-functionally vetting proposed interventions, and escalating unresolved issues to management for resolution
Effectively communicate the production plan for custom SO projects to supporting teams
Apply professional judgment to evaluate all process-compliant requests for modification of the production plan (i.e., requests for expedites or escalations within lead time), incorporating feasible modifications, and effectively providing feedback to affected stakeholders
Monitor demand plans and communicate any implications of the capacity plan, such as resulting lead times, to management
Monitor actual production performance and ensure that planning parameters align with demonstrated performance
Recognize problems influencing or affected by the supply planning domain, analyze to determine root causes, and recommend solutions
Other duties as assigned by management, such as supporting on time shipment reporting, achieving desired inventory targets for the site, as well as helping to prevent sales orders going late on backorder

Minimum five years planning and scheduling experience in a manufacturing environment utilizing MRP/ERP tools such as (Intuitive, Oracle, Agile, JDE), setting up & utilizing work order routing
Experience in production planning and capacity management policies and procedures, the capability to evaluate capacity models, smooth production loads and identify and overcome constraints
Demonstrated understanding of manufacturing concepts and principles, finite scheduling, and supply chain planning
Highly knowledgeable regarding MRP principles and system dynamics
Familiarity and experience with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement concepts

Highly proficient in managing and analyzing data in Excel; complex pivot tables & reporting, power query, advanced charting, data analysis
Experience supporting creation and implementation of basic planning processes outside an ERP environment
Project management experience
Certified in production and inventory management or supply chain management; APICS CPIM, CSCP, or ISM CPSM
Lean/six sigma green belt or higher

Accredited Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Economics, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, or related discipline, or equivalent experience

1st Shift

Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
