Description
Chipton-Ross is seeking a Scientist II for an opening in Fremont, CA.

SUMMARY:
The Scientist II position will be in R&D department developing new technology for innovative IVD products. The position will utilize knowledge of new product development, clinical diagnostics, biochemistry and molecular biology to develop Quality Control products in In Vitro Diagnostic field.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Design and conduct hands-on experiments to achieve project goals and timeline. Perform laboratory experiments including nucleic acid extraction and PCR amplification, build and characterize reagent, etc. Prepare study protocols and reports for documentation of study design, procedure, data analysis, investigations, and experimental conclusions.

REQUIREMENTS:
Hands-on experience in molecular biology is required, specifically with PCR, RT-PCR, sample preparation and/or other amplification techniques. Prior experience in reagent development and in-depth knowledge in reagent characterization are desirable. Knowledge and experience in organic chemistry is a plus. Familiar with GMP requirements and environment. Good time management skills and ability to multi-task.

EDUCATION:
Accredited M.S. in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or equivalent, with minimum 1 year industry experience in IVD medical device field
OR
Accredited B.S. in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or equivalent, with minimum 3 years industry experience in IVD medical device field.

WORK HOURS:
Full-Time

Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
