- Chipton-Ross is seeking a Mold Operator for an opening in Auburn, AL.
Job Duties will include day to day Set-Up of Injection Molds based on priority and breakdown events. The Mold Set-Up Technician is responsible for the safe and proper handling of molds including; Communication with Production Manager, Maintenance Manager, Process Engineer on needs and requirements for getting setup completed so startup can occur in timely manner, pre-inspection of mold prior to removing from storage, handling of mold from shelf/storage to press, installation into press using proper clamping and tools, correct setup of Cooling and Electrical lines to mold, , Proper removal and Post-inspection of each mold to ensure issues related to mold repair or PM are documented on tag on mold and therefore can be approved and scheduled prior to putting mold into storage, organization of mold related storage areas for molds, electrical cords, plumbing lines and fittings, Mold components such as Heaters, Gears, Tips, and Mold Heat Controllers and coordination of the repair/replacement of in-operable/unsafe units/components with Maintenance Manager as necessary.
The Mold Set-Up Technician is required to provide their own hand tools and storage case for general maintenance procedures-TMO Auburn will provide specialized tools required for custom systems that may use specialized hand tools, etc.. There are no educational requirements however the ability to Read and Write legibly, understand and follow guidelines and procedures, and organize backup documentation and mold components is necessary. Applicants for this position should be willing to attend training course for SMED (Single Minute Exchange of Dies/Molds) principles through other TMO organizations. Physical demands may require an applicant be capable of lifting 35 lbs maximum. Limited travel for training may be required.

Accredited High School Diploma/GED
Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
