Description
Chipton-Ross is seeking a Quality Control Inspector
for an opening in Petaluma, CA.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Move through the manufacturing areas inspecting product at the machines to ensure the quality and identify defects.
Pushes a light table, which is used to visually inspect product, up or down aisles.
Retrieves bag of product by lifting from a shipper box, places bag on light table to visually examine the product over the light. Depending on findings and the amount of accumulated product, replaces bag into box, removes it to inventory totes, or places it into a bin for further sorting.
Sorts and discards defective product.
Documents findings on Daily Quality Status Report (DQSR).
Maintains QC Documents at the machines, labels, bar codes, PQR etc.
Other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
Acute attention to detail
Experience with manufacturing environment, equipment and safety procedures.
Commitment to excellence and high standards.
Ability to work an alternative work schedule.
Must have ability to visually detect product defects.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
1 year experience related to quality as inspector or experience in quality/manufacturing environment preferred

Physical and Environmental Requirements:
Light Work-Lifting of 20 pounds.
Employees are required to wear smock, hair covering, mask and gloves while working.

EDUCATION:
Accredited High School Diploma/GED

WORK HOURS:
1st Shift
Full-Time

Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
