- Chipton-Ross is seeking a Tissue Culture Associate I - Manufacturing for an opening in Carlsbad, CA.
The Tissue Culture Manufacturing Scientist I will be responsible for antibody production by use of Tissue Culture method. These methods may include Roller Bottle production, bioreactor, and/or wave bag production. This individual will function as an integral member of the Manufacturing team.
As Manufacturing Scientist I, weekly batch records will be given with written instructions to perform the appropriate tissue culture. Must possess basic mathematical skills and provide accurate data documentation and work in a timely and efficient manner to produce a quality product.
Specific responsibilities include:
Learn department policies and procedures per departmental SOP. Complete assigned work order and secure necessary documents. Prepare and initiate all prep work and documents for assigned work order under supervision. Follow all departmental guidelines and procedures. Thaw and maintain cells under supervision. Freeze cells as necessary under supervision. Learn the necessary equipment associated with the job under supervision. Input data into the database. Maintain lab supplies inventory and re-order as necessary. Prepare Tissue Culture Medium as necessary.
0 - 3 years experience in a related field, preferably manufacturing environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
The Manufacturing Scientist I ideally will have experience in a variety of areas to support the business objectives:
Good working knowledge of computer, Microsoft Word and Excel. Good laboratory mathematical skills. Good oral and written communication skills. Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team environment. Team player. Well organized and detail oriented. Good interpersonal skills.

The noise level in the environment is usually moderate.
Preferably an accredited Bachelor of Science degree.
Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
