Description
Chipton-Ross is seeking a Supply Chain Associate for an opening in Auburn, AL.

SUMMARY:
Assist in implementing methods for raw material purchasing and planning to support the manufacturing operation in meeting customer delivery requirements. Accountable for tasks delegated to deliver detailed production planning, follow up of production schedule fulfillment and execution of procurement activities.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Scheduling:
Execute production job creation for assigned areas. Monitor and maintain specified inventory to support production activities. Perform production job closures which include follow-up with operations and reconcile variances. WIP Inventory Management – Actively monitor material safety to ensure uninterrupted supply. Data Management – Utilize relevant tools and take ownership for identification and resolution of data quality issues that may hinder the execution of duties where applicable.

Procurement
Plan and execute procurement of services and non-stocked materials. Maintain strong working relationships and communications with key suppliers and internal customers. Monitor status of open purchase orders to ensure on-time delivery of assigned materials. Anticipate and communicate any material shortages. Collaborate with internal customers and provide a high level of customer service. Follow up with suppliers on required documentation (i.e.: CofA, CofC, purchase specs, etc) Periodic update of procedures related to production and materials planning process.

REQUIREMENTS:
2-5 years exposure to manufacturing or support thereof. Prior usage of ERP/WMS related software platform. Basic computer skills, including internet research skills, knowledge of MS Word and MS Excel. Work independently with a minimal supervision. Develop new skills and process information quickly in a time sensitive manner. Flexibility to work in both an office and warehouse/production environment. Ability to become efficient in procurement processes. Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes. Basic to intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office programs. Prior exposure to ERP & WMS systems. Ability process purchase orders. Communicates effectively with suppliers and internal customers (operations, quality, supply chain team). Ability to manage time effectively, work independently and be self-motivated.

EDUCATION:
Accredited High School Diploma/GED

WORK HOURS:
Full-Time
7:30AM-4:00PM with flexibility for weekend support

Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
