- Chipton-Ross is seeking a Scientist II for an opening in Frederick, MD.
Plans and performs quality control testing of reagents and kits utilizing the HPLC, HPIC, UV/Vis, FT-IR, qPCR and mass spec.
Collects and analyzes data for final disposition using preapproved documentation as well as troubleshoots assays.
Participate in QC Method Validation and Method Transfer activities
Support new product introduction projects
Participate in stability study activities
Train new and existing QC operators on new and existing Quality Control test methods.
Establishes and manages QC metric, data trending, and drives actions for improvement.
Performs and documents equipment maintenance.
Update QC test methods, QBR’s, forms, and SPC’s to align with current laboratory practices and improvements
Maintain laboratory testing inventory and supplies
Write and execute stability protocols and reports.
Initiates problem records (deviations, non-conformances, failures, corrective and preventive actions) via TrackWise and performs root cause investigation and analysis for OOS and complaints.
Using computers and performing mathematical calculations for the preparation of graphs
Following and ensuring strict safety procedures
Perform other activities as directed by QC Manager
1-3 years of industry experience preferably in cGMP Quality Control Laboratory
Experience with the analytical instrumentations (e.g., HPLC, HPIC, FT-IR, Mass Spectroscopy)
Proficiency in Excel
Ability to perform independently & as part of a team.
Ability to work in dynamic, fast paced team environment.
Willing to work flexible hours and weekends when necessary.
Excellent communication/interpersonal and presentation skills.
Industry experience in ISO 13485 and/or cGMP regulated environment.
Accredited Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences preferably in Chemistry or Biochemistry.
1st Shift, 9am-5pm
Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
