Description
Chipton-Ross is seeking a Scientist I for an opening in Carlsbad, CA.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
As Manufacturing Scientist I, this individual will assure that work is performed in accordance with production schedules, perform hands-on manufacturing tasks and work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, conduct multiple production runs at one time, and be well organized. Specific responsibilities include:

Responsible for manufacturing product(s) in a lab setting following standard operating procedures. Maintain and follow good GDP practices. Follow technical documents which include standard operating procedures and manufacturing batch records. Participate in process improvement projects, or product transfer projects to resolve a technical issue, reduce process scrap or improve productivity. Collaborate effectively with support functions to achieve annual goals set. Maintain lab supply inventory and re-order as needed.

REQUIREMENTS:
Experience with SEC chromatography, HPLC, and/or FPLC. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite products with emphasis on Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word Strong laboratory mathematical skills. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team environment. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Team player (demonstrated experience working in support of a successful project team). Good interpersonal skills. Works well in a metrics-focused environment. Well organized and detail oriented. Strong interpersonal skills.

EDUCATION:
Accredited Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, Chemistry, or related field; 0-3 years of experience in a lab environment, preferably in a manufacturing environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

WORK HOURS:
Full-Time

Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
