- Chipton-Ross is seeking an Industrial Engineer for an opening in Marion, MA.
Analyzes and designs sequence of operations and work flow to improve efficiencies in plant and production facilities and equipment layouts; and establishes methods for maximum utilization of production facilities and personnel. May establish or assist in establishing accident prevention measures and may manage training programs for personnel concerning all phases of production operations. Conducts studies pertaining to cost control, cost reduction, inventory control, and production record systems. On the basis of these studies, develops and implements plans and programs for facility modifications and revisions to operating methods. May assist facilities engineers in the planning and design of facilities.
Develop labor standards; perform time studies on new or existing processes; support the bidding process with new standards; provide support to manufacturing through monitoring of cost metrics, and through initiatives that result in waste elimination and process improvements. Perform simulations, capacity planning, and produce savings packages. Work single piece flow initiatives that reduce the hours per unit of our products. Must have good communication skills and be able to work effectively in a team environment.
- Good communication skills
- Microsoft Excel experience is required
- Experienced with Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Access, Word, and Excel)
- Experience with Statistical Analysis
- Experience with Simulation software
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of Lean manufacturing concepts and techniques
- Experience in a Manufacturing environment
Accredited Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering is required.
