- Chipton-Ross is seeking a Maintenance Technician for an opening in Rochester, NY.
5S tasks – painting, taping, etc. Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming them. Gather and empty trash and corrugate luggers. Clean and dust furniture and fixtures. Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors, using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, and squeegees. Dust furniture, walls, machines, and equipment. Make minor repairs. Mix water and detergents or acids in containers to prepare cleaning solutions, according to specifications. Move heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies, either manually or by using hand trucks. Notify Warehouse leadership concerning the need for major repairs. Remove snow from sidewalks and salt if required. Perform monthly safety inspections, dock checks, fire extinguishers and ladder inspections. Place work orders and manage the task list. Requisition supplies and equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance duties. Obtain and change dust mop heads, etc. Refill safety containers with ear plugs and safety glasses if required. Any other task that is required by the warehouse leadership team.
Accredited High School Diploma/GED
Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
