Description
Chipton-Ross is seeking a Product Applications Specialist for an opening in Pleasanton, CA.

OVERVIEW:
The Product Applications Specialist will be a part of the global HID Professional Services (HPS) team and responsible for assisting with the deployment of a centralized data management software for DNA instrumentation in a dynamic environment. The Product Applications Specialist will guide customers in implementing a highly integrated rapid DNA workflow into their existing IT infrastructure.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist with global HID Professional Services (HPS) projects, ensuring high quality results and customer satisfaction through all phases of project execution. Assist with the deployment of. Assist with data migration or data transformation projects. Scripting using industry standard best practices in PowerShell, Python and SQL. Work with Container technologies like Docker and AWS ECS. Work with Cloud infrastructure such as Azure, Amazon AWS. Work with networking and VPN technologies. Oversee risk, security, and audit compliance . Interface with customers to maximize understanding of applications, opportunities and demands for current and future HID products and technologies. Provide ongoing contribution to the development of relevant service solutions to enhance the customer support experience. Support resolution of technical troubleshooting during project execution. Coordinate cross functional global teams and execute projects in a timely manne. Maintain a high level of communication with customers before, during and after a project to ensure a clear understanding of needs and verify successful execution. Foster regular communication channels and maintain close working relationships with global HPS colleagues and other HID team members (such as. Product Management, Marketing, Sales, Support,Product Assurance, R&D). Perform other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:
A minimum 5 years of IT support experience
Data modeling, design and database programming using a variety of relational databases (Oracle, SQL) Demonstrated capability in Access, SQL server and advanced Excel techniques (pivot table, VBA Code, etc)Detail oriented, analytical, data driven, and ability to solve complex problems. Ability to build relationships across different business functions and business units. Comfortable with making decisions with some level of uncertainty. Passionate about challenges, problem solving, and learning new things. Demonstrates a sense of urgency, optimism and a “can do” attitude. Is authentic, transparent and leads by example, holding self and others accountable. Ability to present to all levels of an organization internally and externally. Excellent written and communication skills

EDUCATION:
Accredited BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent technical discipline.

Full-Time
1st Shift
Remote: Yes (but local preferred as they weill needed onsite for training)

Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
