Chipton Ross is seeking a Shipping and Receiving Clerk for an opening in El Segundo, CA

Performs the duties and functions of the receiving department to include: unpacking, sorting, operate the forklift to unload/load pallet size shipments, shelving packages according to date received, entering data in the system and insuring items received match the purchase order in the system, check packages for count and part number accuracy, reconcile any discrepancies, route packages to next operation including mail pick up, sorting, and distribution following directions from supervisor/lead person. Transacts and records receipts daily following direction from supervisor/lead person. Performs shipping functions, including verification of shipment documents, determines the packaging requirements according to company procedures, performs packaging using Instapak machine, insures proper labeling and identification on all packages, determines method of shipping following direction from supervisor/lead person, performs data entry to record transactions, and insures all packages are ready for pickup at predetermined deadlines. Must demonstrate the ability to learn the shipping and receiving processes and ability to retain the learned activities.

High School Diploma or GED required
1+ years of experience
Working knowledge of MS Office, Excel, Word and Outlook

Work Schedule
1st Shift, 7am-4pm M-F

Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
