Chipton-Ross is seeking an Electrical Assembler B for an opening in Rochester, NY.

• Performs routine assembly operations of a repetitive nature on electro mechanical components and subassemblies in the product line in accordance with the company's procedures for safety and quality.
• Fits, aligns, and adjusts parts and components; Attaches hardware and seals assembly; Solders, lugs, routes, and ties electrical components.
• Works with samples, simple drawings, as well as written and verbal instructions. Uses hand tools such as long nose pliers, power screwdrivers and soldering iron to perform work.
• Assist with final quality testing of finished systems to make sure each is functioning according to customer specifications prior to shipment.
• Maintain accurate documentation of product test results and update troubleshooting logs.
• Accept a dynamic work schedule at times, including late nights and weekends.
• Inspects product as it is being built and refers any problem to Supervisor.
• Daily communication with all team members and supervisor.
• Provide high quality and timely service to all internal customers.
• Listen to and understand customer requirements and take prompt, appropriate action that exceeds expectation.
• Assists with continuous improvement activities and compliance to 5S program.
• Perform all other related duties as assigned

• Minimum 4 years of electrical/electronic assembly experience or equivalent combination.
• IPC 610 and J Standard 0001 Certificate Preferred; requires previous assembly experience
• Must have experience in soldering and assembly using tools such as hand tools such as long nose pliers, power screwdrivers and soldering iron.
• Ability to perform basic and routine repetitive mechanical assembly operations on components and subassemblies using fixtures, screwdrivers, etc.

• Must be detailed-oriented and have the ability to multi-task to meet multiple deadlines.
• Communicates with contacts typically within the department on matters that involve obtaining or providing information.
• Work to develop customer relationships through collaboration, respect, professionalism, trust and integrity.
• Ability to perform basic and routine repetitive mechanical assembly operations on components and subassemblies using fixtures, screwdrivers, etc.
• Works to obtain operational targets within department.

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read, analyze and interpret procedures. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, fractions and decimals.

REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions and solve practical problems; deal with a variety of concrete variables in standardized situations. Ability to define problems, collect data.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this position, the employee is required to stand, walk, sit; use hands to finger, handle and feel; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The employee may occasionally stoop or crouch, lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. Specific vision abilities include close vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: The work environment is that of a typical manufacturing facility with occasional exposure to dust, vapors, heat, cold and noise.



Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
