- Chipton-Ross is seeking a Manufacturing Technician for an opening in Tewksbury, MA.
Component assembly with UV cured epoxy and aligned via feedback from Optical spectrum analyzers, power meters and CCD cameras. Responsible for processing work orders for the manufacture of optical components. Adhere to Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements of the job function. Adhere to ISO9000 requirements including ESD, work area cleanliness, maintenance and calibration of equipment and work instruction adherence. Train new technicians. Participate in daily team stand-up meetings; communicating daily challenges and/or ideas. Participate and lead improvement events (such as Kaizen, 5S, Practical Process Improvement). Maintain a safe working environment, following established 5S procedures. Flexibility to cross train in other areas of the process.
The ideal candidate will have at least 1-3 years of relevant experience. Detailed oriented. Computer knowledge a must. Show ability to work with small parts under microscope using tweezers and other small tools. Past experience in the manufacture of opto-electrical devices where light is being controlled by free space optics is preferred. Able to use different equipment such as, optical spectrum analyzer, optical power meter, etc. Soldering experience a plus.
Accredited High School Diploma/GED
Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
