- Chipton-Ross is seeking an Assembler A for an opening in Folsom, CA.
Perform a variety of mechanical, electronic or electro-mechanical assembly operations. Candidate will normally follow a standard sequence of operations but work may require considerable judgment in resolving problems. Operating from work instructions and drawings you will install electronic or mechanical components and make very complex adjustments. You will measure components and assemblies using equipment such as vernier calipers, gage blocks and thread gauges. Undestanding o f complex setups holding tolerances to specifications. May involve coaching junior Assemblers or assisting with their training. Regular and dependable attendance is required.
Needs excellent eye-hand coordination and the ability to manipulate small tools and equipment, often under a microscope.
Must be able to sit at workbench for extended periods and employ good ergonomic work habits.
Must be able to read and understand complex electrical and mechanical drawings, and work instructions, and be able to perform complicated mechanical assembly problem solving.
Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds when required.
Excellent soldering and assembly skills, knowledge of and experience with measuring tools and gauges, ability to read and understand complex work instructions.
Prior certification to IPC, J-STD-001, MIL-STD-2000, NASA-STD8739.3 or equivalent strongly preferred.
Basic computer skills required.
Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
