Chipton-Ross is seeking a Design Engineer III for an opening in Redmond, WA.
Responsible for designing and developing of in-space propulsion products Applies research to the planning, design, and development of bi-propellant rocket combustion chambers, nozzles, injectors, valves, and other associated rocket engine hardware.
Responsible for design modeling and coordination with other disciplines including analysis, manufacturing engineering, quality engineering, materials & process engineering, project engineering, etc.
Majority of work will be to develop and maintain component and assembly layouts, designs/CAD models, and drawings using Creo5 graphics system for liquid engine hardware.
Must have significant experience with Creo & GD&T. Higher level certifications are preferred.
Windchill experience preferred.
Mechanical Design and development Engineers research, develop, analyze, design, and support fabrication of components using engineering and scientific principles.
Must be able to interface well with other members of project or program team, management, and technical staff to define and implement engineering solutions to meet group, organization, and company objectives.
Must be able to prepare and make presentations at both internal and customer design reviews.
BS degree in an Engineering field or equivalent. MS degree is desired.
Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
