Description
Chipton-Ross is seeking a Guidance Navigation & Control Engineer 4 for an opening in Everett, WA.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Gathers, defines and documents system level requirements and investigates actions necessary for requirements definition and flow-down improvement. Performs and documents design of Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GNC) systems and guides experienced engineers in performance of the designs. Develops GNC and mathematical tools and techniques and aids in developing Technology roadmaps. Performs or directs test data analysis and documentation. Presents findings of compliance to regulatory agencies, negotiates certification basis in alignment project goals, simulation and design review per FAA, MIL-SPEC and NASA guidance. Trains and coaches others. Works under minimal direction.

o Functional, Logical, Requirements Development and decomposition (SCD, DOORS)
o Requirements Analysis, System Integration, Systems Analysis, System Safety Analysis (SSA), Functional Hazard Assessment (FHA), Change Impact Analysis (CIA)
o Detailed Test Procedure (DTP) Authoring, Test Script Development, System and Airplane Level Displays Integration
o Reviews of Supplier Qualification Testing
o System and Airplane Level Integration Testing, Engineering Lab and CAB Testing
o Flight Test Coordination, Airplane Ground Testing and Flight Testing
o Problem Report characterization and resolution
o Special project integration across the flight controls teams
o AMM reviews in support of the maintenance function definition
o Development and review of Flight Control Design Practices
o Three main project areas supporting 777X, 737MAX, and Design Center. See details included in job description.
o Software skills required: some positions require basic level C softare coding skills


EDUCATION:
Accredited education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Local travel on occasion

FULL TIME/FIRST SHIFT
WORK HOURS: 8:00AM-4:00PM

MISCELLANEOUS:
Prefer local due to some onsite testing need.
Mix of onsite and remote opportunities.

Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
