Description

Chipton-Ross is seeking an HR Business Partner Director for an opening in Torrance, CA.

RESPONSIBILITIES
The HR Business Partner Director supports our division VP, GM to align business objectives with management and employees. This position is accountable for all HR activities within a $250M size Division with 2 manufacturing facilities (one in Torrance, CA area, one in central Pennsylvania), which includes, but is not limited to: recruiting, selection, compliance, employee relations (union), organizational development and talent management. Develop, plan, evaluate and continuously improve programs and services for the organization's human resources policies which enhance the division's culture and supports its growth. Influence client groups on issues involving organizational design, talent assessment, succession planning, employee relations, employee and management development, compensation, performance management and employee engagement. Responsible for ensuring company compliance with current & applicable local, state, and federal laws. Reports to the Division VP, GM and the Sector HR VP.
" Act as a trusted advisor to leadership in dealing consistently and constructively with HR matters including but not limited to compensation, employee relations, employee development, engagement, performance, organizational design and succession planning. Work to ensure HR strategies and business decisions are aligned.
" Develop key programs including, but not limited to performance management, recognition, engagement and other people related programs.
" Coach and counsel managers on sensitive employee relations matters and conflict management issues. Facilitate resolution of employee concerns with supervisors or management as necessary or as directed.
" Maintain and revise policies and Employee Handbook reflecting current policies, programs, and practices.
" Ensures compliance in all matters pertaining to human resource management with local, state, and federal regulations and laws.
" Lead teams through engagement survey results and action planning process to improve employee engagement and satisfaction. Work to create and maintain a positive company culture.
" Develop HR team members and identify HR service improvement opportunities

REQUIREMENTS
Experience
" Managing an HR team across manufacturing operations
" Strong business acumen and able to "connect the dots" between business and HR
" Employee relations experience with labor unions
" A track record in finding ways to create more engagement with operations employees
" Proven record of creative and analytical thinking as well as significant business acumen with a "roll up the sleeves" attitude.
" Ability to multi task and manage multiple priorities
" Getting things done in a matrix organization
" Demonstrate project leadership experience and a successful track record of leading organizational change


Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
