Chipton-Ross is seeking a Receiving Inspector 3 for an opportunity in Chandler, AZ.
Manually inspects purchased parts and materials for conformity to standards, specifications, and processing requirements. Inspects for proper identity and dimensions using such measuring devices as microscopes, micrometers, telescope, thread gauges, calipers, and optical comparators. Visually inspects for obvious defects or damage such as corrosion, cracks, dents, scratches, and pits. Verifies specifications and makes pass/fail decisions on inspected goods base on purchase orders, CAD drawings or sketch blueprints, inspection instructions, and checklists. Maintains records of inspection results. Performing automatically inspection with three-dimensional projections using inspection equipment such as CMM (Coordinate Measurement Machines), Laser Scanned Vision Systems, for highly accuracy inspection level. Upload existing and create new inspection programing to CMM equipment. May assist in orienting, training, assigning and checking the work of lower level employees. Duties & tasks are varied and moderately complex. Resolves most questions and problems, and refers complex questions to higher levels.
High school Diploma required
Four years minimum work in mechanical parts Inspection with strong knowledge of GD&T, experience in CMM inspection programming and inspection process/method is required.
Familiar with inspection equipment such as Zeiss and Hexagon. There will be a written test of GD&T and performance inspection test on CMM at the time of interview.
Must physically work at Incoming Inspection area
No opportunity to work remotely
Light lifting (10lbs or less) required
High school diploma or equivalent/GED is required.
School must be accredited.
Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
