Chipton-Ross is seeking two Mechanical Technician 2's for an opportunity in Dulles, VA.
Performs a variety of duties assisting mechanical engineers in the development of mechanical and electromechanical engineering designs, tests, fabrications, modifications, assemblies and components. Drafts detailed drawings for fabrication. Devices, fabricates, and assembles new or modified mechanical components or assemblies. Sets up and tests complete prototype units and subassemblies under operational conditions. Analyzes data and recommends modifications to components or test procedure to meet desired specifications.
Minimum of 5 years experience with a High School degree. Capable of assembling small components under a microscope and strict attention to processing requirements for masking, ink stamping, insert and dowel pin installation, and packaging. The applicant should also be able to read and interpret engineering drawings for requirements. Capable of using microscope and tweezers for assembly as well as using all manual support equipment and inspection tools to assemble hardware with little or no direct supervision. Willingness to work overtime when needed to satisfy customer requirements. Experience in miniature assembly in a clean production or laboratory environment a plus.
High school diploma/GED.
School must be accredited.
9/80 work week.
Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
