Chipton-Ross is seeking a Harness Design Engineer for an opening in Canoga Park, CA.
Support Electro-Mechanical Packaging of wiring harnesses and generate appropriate CAD models and design drawings as required.
-Experience in design of STE cables and harnesses for Aerospace and Defense products applications.
-Proficiency in use of Creo PDM/Link and Windchill required.
-Additional proficiency with GD&T and tolerance analysis preferred.
Prior experience and detailed knowledge of Windchill PDMLink 10.1 (or greater)
Previous experience with Lifecycle Management workflow, MODELCHECK, product structure, etc., preferred
Proficiency with Creo Parametric 2.0 (or greater) with extensive knowledge of:
Advanced part modeling techniques including the use of relations, analysis features, and flexible components Top Down Design using Reference Skeletons including Copy Geometry, Publish Geometry, Relative Datums and Shrinkwraps - Preferred
Preferred Experience with Creo Cabling application including:
Utilizing logical reference data (automated Network routing using neutral wire format) Harness flattening using Creo Harness-MFG extension
Preferred Working knowledge of Creo Schematics 2.0 (or greater) desired including:
Block Diagram to Wiring Diagram Schematic Development (aka “BID to WID”)
Schematics creation utilizing a Central Catalog
BSME or equivalent with 10 years of experience or 15 + years of equivalent experience – L3/L4 BSME or equivalent with 5 years of experience or 8 + years of equivalent experience – L2/L3
Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
