Description
Chipton-Ross is seeking a Welder for an opening in Goleta, CA.


RESPONSIBILITIES:
Read blueprints and drawings and take or read measurements to plan layout and procedures.
Determine the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements.
Set up components for welding according to specifications, cut material with powered saws to match measurements.
Operate angle grinders to prepare the parts that must be welded.
Align components using calipers, rulers ,etc.
Weld components using manual or simi-automatic welding equipment in various positions.
Repair machinery and other components by welding pieces and filling gaps.
Maintain equipment.

REQUIREMENTS:
Proven experience as a welder
Tig, Mig ,SMAW welding certs
Experience using a variety of welding equipment and procedures ( tig, mig )
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
Knowledge of welding safety.
Any cert from AWS D1.1

EDUCATION:
HSD/GED

SHIFT:
9/80

Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
