Chipton Ross is seeking a Quality Control Technician for an opening in North Las Vegas,NV.


WHY WE NEED YOU
" The Quality Team is responsible for assuring system & product level requirements are verified to industry standards and we are looking for a Quality Technician to support product development of a new transportation system by supporting quality project deliverables.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
" Visually and physically inspect structural, system and electrical installations for conformance to engineering and test requirements using a variety of precision measurement equipment and inspection tools to include micrometers, calipers, ball gages, flashlights, mirrors, ohm meters, laser gauges and depth gages.
" Structure inspections include location, gap verification, shim installation, hole drilling, fastener installation, sealing and coatings.
" System installations include tube, hose, valve, fastener installation, sealing and coatings common to hydraulic, pneumatic and fuel systems.
" Electrical installations include route, clamping, string tie, connector mating, pin insertion, crimping and coatings.
" Locate, identify and accurately document nonconforming product/material at time of discovery per applicable procedures.
" Visually and physically inspect rework and repair for compliance per engineering requirements
" Support inspection activities throughout the manufacturing lifecycle (receiving, in-process, and final inspection).
" Supports calibration technician by tracking and maintaining records of tools and gauges used for product acceptance or Verification/Validation.
" Responsible for verifying vendor reports (i.e. material certification, test reports, first article inspection reports, etc.) and internal fabrication documentation such as work instruction, travelers, and end of line test reports.
" Support the material review board team to ensure anomalies & non-conformances are dispositioned and re-verified
" Support site safety to ensure projects are completed in accordance with established safety procedures and requirements.
WHAT YOU'VE DONE
" Bachelor's degree or high school diploma with equivalent work experience
" Advanced experience using basic machine shop tools, caliper, micrometer, gauges and jigs
" Extensive knowledge of ASME Y14.5 & GD&T principles
" Experience working in an ISO9001, AS9100, and/or IATF 16949 shop floor environment.
" Experience inspecting solder, crimping, conformal coating, staking, and surface mounted devices accordance with NASA 8739 and/or IPC-J-STD-001, IPC-A-610 standards
" Proficient with PC tools such as Access, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, & Project.
" CMM programming experience preferred. (Verisurf, PCDMIS, or equivalent)
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
" Ability to grasp or manipulate objects with one or both hands.
" Ability to stand, walk, sit, and use office equipment in the course of normal duties.
" Ability to work on a construction site in hazardous conditions
" Ability to operate a forklift to enable part movement and kitting through the shop.

WORK SCHEDULE
" Must be able to work 1st, 2nd, or split shift

Employment will be contingent on clearing a background check. Must clear prior to start date.
