Chipton Ross is seeking a Sr. Lead Electrical Engineer in Batesville, IN.

Job Summary:
As part of an R&D project team, the Senior Lead / Principal Electrical Engineer owns the design of a complete module, circuit board, or sub-assembly, from conception to design and verification. This individual will work as a lead and ensure that the project progresses in the defined manner. With his/her expert knowledge, the Senior Lead / Principal Electrical Engineer also provides guidance to other engineers on their technical issues, engages in design reviews and helps to resolve the most complex problems. This role will also help create strategies for R&D and the Electrical Engineering group including new technology investigation, electronics platforming, competitive analysis, patent reviews, and technical analysis of target acquisitions.

20+ years of engineering experience, or comparable experience
10+ years leading electrical designs in cross functional teams consisting of discipline specific engineers, or comparable experience
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and applicable engineering software
Strong organizational and communication skills
Proficient problem-solving and project management skills
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively with others in a team environment

Preferred Experience:
Designing multiple circuit boards with embedded processors (ARM is preferred) that were produced in medium to high volume (5,000 to 1,000,000 boards per year)
Working with schematics, layouts, design analysis
Digital design and basic software development for testing hardware designs
Experience in the medical device industry and FDA Regulations
Documenting designs and analysis per FDA certification process including hardware requirements, hardware detailed design, DFMEA, Risk Analysis, and testing requirements
Designing communication interfaces between circuit boards
Interfacing both analog and digital sensors to embedded processors including air pressure, temperature, load cells, current measurement, and others
Designing DC to DC switching power supplies
Designing for radiated emissions, electrostatic discharge, cost, reliability, and design for manufacturing
Developing wireless communications including WiFi or Bluetooth
Experience with simulation tools including MATLAB, Simulink and Multisim

Bachelor's of Science in Electrical Engineering

FT, first shift

Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
