- Chipton-Ross is seeking a Systems Engineer 4 located in Oklahoma City, OK.
Applies an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop and verify complex lifecycle balanced system of systems and system solutions. Evaluates customer/operational needs to define and coordinate system performance requirements, integrate technical parameters and assure compatibility of all physical, functional and program interfaces. Performs various analyses to optimize total system of systems and/or system architecture. Performs analyses for affordability, safety, reliability, maintainability, testability, human systems integration, survivability, vulnerability, susceptibility, system security, regulatory, certification, product assurance and other specialties quality factors into a preferred configuration to ensure mission success. Develops, maintains and identifies improvements for the planning, organization, implementation and monitoring of requirements management processes, tools, risk, issues, opportunity management and technology readiness assessment processes. Resolves cross-functional technical issues.
1. Provide Engineering leadership to Radome IPT on B-52 RMP. Tasks include:
a. Support technical discussions and reviews with Radome Supplier, other IPTs, and Customer. Topics will include environmental, structural, fabrication, RF performance and testing.
b. Evaluate Supplier documents (SDRLs) for quality and completeness, with respect to the Supplier SOW and Radome CIDS.
c. Work with Specialty Engineering teams to identify and resolve technical issues. Support Risk Management reviews and working specific issues to completion.
d. Participate in cost/schedule baselining activities for the upcoming EMD phase of the Program.
e. Develop Specification Change Notices (SCN) as necessary to revise requirements. Take SCNs through the review and release process.
f. Lead Proposal focal for Boeing Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) for Radome IPT
g. Author and Develop changes to Supplier Statements of Work (SSOW) and release in the configuration management system.
2. Support SEIT team
a. Participate in Systems Engineering reviews of technical documents. Provide comments and guidance to document authors.
b. Assist with development of requirement verification plans and procedures.
c. Facilitate effective communication between IPTs by supporting key meetings, forwarding information on to stakeholders, and providing visibility to Leadership.
Engineering degree (mechanical, electrical, or manufacturing preferred)
Experience with aircraft composites, radar, and/or RF testing
Experience with requirements management (DOORS preferred)
Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE, CAMEO preferred)
DOD Secret clearance (active preferred, must be eligible)
Accredited Bachelor's and 9 or more years' experience, Master's with 7 or more years' experience or PhD with 4 or more years' experience. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry.
