Chipton-Ross is seeking a Software Engineer III for an opening in Orlando, FL.
Will independently design, develop, document, test, and debug software that contains graphical, logical, and mathematical solutions taking into account project constraints of scope, cost, risk and schedule in support of meeting critical mission requirements by use of software technological means. Requires standardized programming development using existing industry-proven coding standards for internal and military applications in concert with corporate security and backup and recovery compliance requirements for both hardware and software infrastructures. Technical fortitude and dedicated focus shall be required for successful code implementations and software lifecycle support for a Unity-based 3D content delivery system that will interface with multiple external systems and tools in its support of operational requirements.
This position will expand on skills to articulate technical requirements to non-technical customers to ensure understanding of capabilities being developed and released to both internal and external users. The position will require operational procedures and technical documentation to be developed that will ensure consistent, repeatable, and scalable support aimed to provide software enhancements required by both internal and external system stakeholders.
This position interacts with personnel on fairly complex technical matters often requiring coordination, collaboration and decisive actions to assure project success with minimum risk. Position involves providing broad-based architectural technical solutions to complex problems, which require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity while keeping team management informed with status reports, metrics and key milestones.
Plans, conducts, and coordinates software development activities. Designs, develops, documents, tests, and debugs software that contains logical and mathematical solutions to business/mission problems or questions in computer language for solutions by means of data processing equipment. Applies the appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the development life cycle. Applies knowledge of computer hardware and software, subject matter to be programmed in business/mission applications, information processing techniques used, and information gathered from system users to develop software. Corrects program errors, prepares operating instructions, compiles documentation of program development, and analyzes system capabilities to resolve questions of program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques, and controls. Ensures software standards are met.
Complete understanding and wide application use of Unity, C#, Software Architecture Design, and familiarization with AR/VR device technologies (HoloLens, Windows MR Devices, HTC Vive, Kinect, Leap Motion, etc.) • Moderate experience with Unity UI • Experienced in working to software requirements, coding and testing standards, baseline and change control process of product and associated documentation.
Experienced in 3D graphic programming implementations in Unity, OpenGL, DirectX or similar graphics engines • Moderate experience with any or all of the following skills: Animation Formats, Unity Client/Server Architecture, Dependency Injection (DI) / Inversion of Control (IoC), Cross-Platform Unity Development, Unity Third Party APIs/SDKs, External Input and Device Integration, REST Webservices, and SVN/GIT/AccuRev tools
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline
