Chipton-Ross is seeking 4 Systems Engineer 1's located in Hazelwood, MO.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Applies an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to assist with analyses, design, development and verification of a lifecycle balanced system of systems and system solutions. Assists with analyses to evaluates customer/operational needs to define system performance requirements, integrate technical parameters and assure compatibility of all physical, functional and program interfaces. Assists with various analyses to optimize total system of systems and/or system architecture. Assists with analyses for affordability, safety, reliability, maintainability, testability, human systems integration, survivability, vulnerability, susceptibility, system security, regulatory, certification, product assurance and other specialties quality factors into a preferred configuration to ensure mission success.

Responsibilities include requirements definition, system architecture development, model based systems engineering (MBSE), systems integration, and systems test. The selected applicant will be a member of a high performing, collaborative team and must be self-motivated with a strong work ethic, excellent time-management, and interpersonal skills. These teams use Agile methodologies to support all aspects of product development, including project management. The applicant will be encouraged to actively help the team to continuously improve and develop innovative and creative solutions to products and processes. design, end user interaction, coding, unit testing, integration, validation, documentation, analysis of software problem reports, and assistance of software requirements.

Software is an integral part of each of these products and these products are integral parts of the defense of multiple nations. If you come to work with us you can put to use your software background at a system level focusing on full life-cycle product development. You will have you hand in defining software requirements and design, coordinating with software development and testing software end products. Must be able to work closely with other engineering disciplines in an integrated team environment.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
This unique role requires an understanding of engineering processes and the ability to communicate those processes into contractually binding documents. Must be able to work closely with other engineering disciplines in an integrated team environment. Experience working with cross functional teams needed.

Preferred Experience: Agile; Complex Problem Solving; Project Management; Software Project Management; Systems Engineering & Analysis: Model Based Technologies; Systems Thinking

EDUCATION:
Accredited Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, engineering technology, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
A cumulative 3.0 or higher GPA. (Please list your cumulative grade point average (GPA) clearly on your resume).

WORK HOURS:
Full-Time/First Shift
7:00 AM - 4:00 PM

MISCELLANEOUS:
Applicants responding to this position will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements by currently possessing the ability to view classified government information.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
Possibility for extension or to become permanent employee. Candidate will need to be local as this will be an on-site role in the STL area.

Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
