Description
Chipton-Ross is seeking a Software Engineer 4 for an opening in Hazelwood, MO.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Software Quality Engineer will be responsible for the quality of the software for the F-15 USAF and International Trainers for the system life cycle: development, verification, deployment, operation, support, training, maintenance and disposal. The candidate will perform the tasks necessary to ensure the quality of the software throughout its programmed life cycle, and shall ensure consideration of all elements of the product life cycle from conception through disposal. Leads activities to develop, document and maintain architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces and designs for software systems. Leads development of code and integration of complex software components into a fully functional software system. Develops software verification plans, test procedures and test environments, executing the test procedures and documenting test results to ensure software system requirements are met. Provides technical leadership for software projects and leads software supplier management activities. Leads development, selection, tailoring and deployment of processes, tools and metrics. Plans, executes and documents software research and development projects. Serves as a subject matter expert for software domains, system-specific issues, processes and regulations. Tracks and evaluates software team and supplier performance to ensure product and process conformance to project plans and industry standards. Works under minimal direction.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Activities include: peer reviews for the design; implementation and test phases of the software lifecycle - evaluation of release products including acceptance test procedures; software version descriptions; test reports - participation in program meetings including program management reviews; software change control board; staff meetings; test readiness reviews – participation in verification testing activities - action items for inclusion into software builds; Cost Account Manager (CAM) activities – status reporting - continual monitoring of program to contracted Quality Management System – additional activities as directed by program management in support of the contract.

In addition, GTS&S SQEs work as part of a core functional organization that inspect and audit software processes across our GTS&S portfolio to assure compliance and adoption to key technical processes and assess readiness and adoption of new software quality mindsets, practices, and tools

EDUCATION:
Accredited Bachelor's and 9 or more years' experience, Master's with 7 or more years' experience or PhD with 4 or more years' experience. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry.

FULL TIME/FIRST SHIFT
WORK HOURS: 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
