- Chipton-Ross is seeking a Chemical Room Operator for an opening in Scotts Valley, CA.
The Chemical Room Operator will maintain manufacturing processes to support production delivery, cost and quality goals. Must be an excellent teammate. Chemical cleaning, etching and other processes will be performed under a flow hood using handling tools. This is a hands-on position doing fine, detailed chemical processing where time and temperature are critical to the process. The Chemical Room Operator will perform a wide range of skilled mechanical assembly operations in a production environment.
Ability to stand for extended periods of time, and move about the production area as needed. Production Area is a clean room which is requires specific gowning. Clean room temperatures are normally in mid to high 60s Fahrenheit with humidity above 30%. Ability to work with both hands to move, handle and manipulate product. Ability to reach at the shoulder and away from the body. Occasional processes include forceful gripping and pushing. Must be able to work with small hand tools and powered equipment. Ability to bend, lift, and twist. Must be able to lift and move objects ranging from only a few ounces up to 30 pounds regularly. Objects of various sizes and shapes will be handled or moved on table surfaces, storage bins and racks. Occasionally team lifting will be required to handle of an awkward shape. Team lifting will be required to lift objects over 50 pounds.
Accredited High School Diploma/GED
Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
