- Chipton-Ross is seeking a Fabrication Associate for an opening in Ayer, MA.
Fabrication of a wide variety of metal housings, frames and/or parts working from raw stock and materials, troubleshooting, basic repair & servicing of equipment used. May perform Painting, finished and cleaning operations. May be required to setup and adjustment holding tolerances to specifications. May analyze results, implement problem solving and/or develop specifications and procedures. May prepare reports and recommend solutions to technical problems May float & work in other departments. Responsible for all duties as assigned within the parameters of the skill level assigned to and required by the department on either a full-time or part-time basis.
Requires 5+ yrs. of related production or mechanical experience and/or related advanced vocational training. Requires strong math skills, the ability to use specialized equipment, & tools, read difficult instructions, maintain written records & work from established drawings.
Painting skills required.
Aluminum Welding experience
Exp with using Amada Punch presses
Press Brake experience
Minimal supervision and works well independently.
Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
