Chipton-Ross is seeking an ASIC EDA CAD Engineer for an opening in Anaheim, CA.


RESPONSIBILITIES:
The candidate should be able to work with members of the ASIC verification team to support the EDA CAD tools they use for independent verification of data processing and signal processing blocks such as DMA, memory bus interfaces, FFTs, digital filters, AGC, and complex phase rotators.
Job requires experience with EDA tools used for ASIC development, experience with simulation and emulation platforms, strong scripting skills in Perl, TCL and Shell.

REQUIREMENTS:
Applicants are required to have experience with ASIC EDA CAD tools and associated scripting to support the tools’ use with the verification team.
*Candidate must have ability to successfully interact with ASIC designers, ASIC verification engineers and IT. *Capable of working in a team environment with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision is a requirement.
*Experience with Perl, TCL and Shell is required.
*Background with Cadence tools is a plus (Xcelium, Genus, Palladium, Joules).
*Experience with FAA DO-254 is a plus.
*Experience with GPS receiver designs is a plus.
*Good interpersonal skills and communication skills is a requirement.

EDUCATION:
Masters or Bachelors of Science degree in Electrical Engineering and at least 10 years’ experience.
