Description
Chipton-Ross is seeking a Software Engineer III for an opening in Tewksbury, MA.

SUMMARY:
The Chemical Analysis Division (CAD) serves a wide breath of industrial sectors including pharmaceutical, food and beverage, environmental, process minerals, mining, coal, cement and metals, as well as academic, government, safety, and security. This position will be based out of our Tewksbury Plant in Massachusetts.

ou will migrate operations alignment and test systems to Windows 10 Platform. You will address driver integration problems, ensure database continuity and integrate engineering software dynamic link libraries. Your software experience, troubleshooting skills and technical knowledge of Windows 10 will help build a world class manufacturing organization producing our handheld diagnostic instruments.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Transition computer systems in operations optical value stream away from Windows7 or XP. Install new Win10 LabVIEW PXI systems and configure application software. Work collaboratively with Manufacturing Engineering and floor technicians to understand system functionality. Engage with Algorithm engineers to ensure accurate integration of Matlab dlls. Build testbed environment for Win11 to evaluate all current test systems for compatibility. Identify software and hardware challenges and provide opportunities for resolution. Build installation instructions for test system software as required. Develop new programs to support manufacturing. Brainstorm and explore automation possibilities for critical manufacturing processes.

REQUIREMENTS:
3-5 years' experience with LabVIEW(primary), C, C# programming. Confirmed experience in hardware/software integration in a production environment. Solid understanding of the Windows 10 platform. Exhibit using strong analytical and problem solving skills to formulate data based decisions. Coordinating and clearly communicating data, crafting installation instructions. Familiarity with opto-mechanical alignment systems a plus. Including optical test equipment from Agilent, LabVIEW, Newport, and Thorlabs

EDUCATION:
Accredited Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science.

WORK HOURS:
Full-Time

Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
