Chipton-Ross is seeking an Operator I, Packaging for an opening in Carlsbad, CA.

Work in a team based environment within a manufacturing department responsible for producing molecular biology reagents for use in research in the life sciences industry. This position requires working in a timely and efficient manner to package products at the client's facility in Carlsbad.

Maintain a safe work environment. Perform work in accordance with daily production schedules to fulfill work orders and special requests. Follow batch records to package various types of products while documenting the production process as required. Processes performed may include the following: Label application. Moving pallets, dry ice containers, and carts of materials as required. Routinely retrieving and replacing materials stored at room temperature, +4ºC, -20ºC and -80ºC. This requires opening and closing of freezers and dry ice bins. Assembly of boxes and kit-specific inserts. Placing vials and bottles from bins or racks into boxes/bags according to defined kit configurations. Packaging kits at room temperature, on a cold table set at -20ºC or on a table containing dry ice. Utilize basic mathematical skills to perform required calculations and provide accurate data documentation. Maintain cleanliness of the work area on a daily basis. Maintain accurate inventory of required materials. Learn and follow all departmental SOPs, guidelines, and procedures. Perform daily updates in multiple computer-based database systems.Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisor

At least 2 years’ experience in a related field, preferably a manufacturing environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred. Must be able to adapt and be flexible to a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions. Well organized, detail oriented and proficient at multitasking. Works well in a team environment and individually. Displays positive attitude toward job and others. Must be highly motivated and dedicated.

Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
