Chipton-Ross is seeking an Industrial Engineer III for an opening in Bingen, WA.


RESPONSIBILITIES:
Developing, implementing, and evaluating processes to optimize operational efficiency. Uses mathematical, process and simulation models to optimize use and integration of facilities, equipment, materials, processes, and personnel.

Applies advanced Industrial Engineering concepts, techniques, analysis, and decision tools to promote and implement changes in manufacturing. Independently develops models, databases and spreadsheets to analyze data (e.g., statistics, operations research, engineering economics), and provides summary analysis and metrics for consultation to customers (e.g., management, departments, suppliers).

Applies advanced industrial engineering techniques and concepts to product design teams, resulting in a robust product design and work statement that meets program requirements. Researches, designs, develops, and implements processes to focus on safety, enhance schedule performance, lower cost, and improve quality, through the application of advanced Lean and other Industrial Engineering concepts. Independently manages, defines, and controls the scope, cost, risk analysis, and timing of projects.


•Utilizes advanced engineering methods (e.g., mathematical models, simulation, statistics) to develop optimal process designs and efficient utilization of resources (e.g., facilities, personnel, materials, equipment) in the manufacturing and testing of products. Analyzes and designs value stream, including capability, capacity (e.g., make/buy, supplier selection, risk analysis, supplier performance), throughput, workflow and logistics (e.g., critical path, lead-time, factory layout).

REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to collect, organize, and analyze data; summarize findings; develop conclusions and recommendations from appropriate data sources.
Able to manipulate data sets and compare measurement data files.
Knowledge of design concepts and techniques including design for Manufacture/Assembly.
Knowledge of lean production concepts and identification of waste throughout various production processes and systems.

EDUCATION:
5-8 years in an engineering classification with a bachelor’s degree, required or 3-6 years’ experience in an engineering classification with a Master's degree.

SHIFT:
Full-Time

Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
