Description
Chipton-Ross is seeking a Production Planner for an opening in Goose Creek, SC.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
o Constant communication with our suppliers and internal departments for determining where components and subcomponents are in the manufacturing process in order to meet the schedule due dates.
o Interaction with our vendors to ensure their on-time deliveries are met.
o Plan, analyze, and schedule the jobs orders in the facility.
o Review and monitor production schedules for most accurate results with consideration to capacity levels, efficiency, etc.
o Maintain spreadsheet with the daily, weekly, and monthly schedules by project.
o All other duties as assigned


REQUIREMENTS:
o Requires a minimum of 3 years of production control experience or equivalent specialized training in scheduling control.
o Must have a thorough knowledge of production control processes and procedures in a fabrication setting.
o Good problem-solving skills in general and in math
o Ability to read and speak English
o Must have basic knowledge of the metric system
o Must have working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing
o Experience working in Microsoft Office
o Experience working in Microsoft Project preferred
o Must be a US citizen

TRAVEL
Ability to travel out of state for training as needed

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, write and understand oral and written instructions, information gathered from meters, dials, calibrated scales, visual display units. Ability to receive and understand instructions via radio or phone. Ability to summarize verbal instructions.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to interpret bar graphs.

REASONING ABILITY
Requires analytical knowledge; ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret and enforce an extensive variety of legal and regulatory publications.

EDUCATION:
Bachelor's degree (Accounting B.S. or B.A.) from four-year college or university; and/or three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

SHIFT:
Full-Time

Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
