- Chipton-Ross is seeking a Material Handler II for an opening in Tewksbury, MA.
In this role, you will prepare shipments for export and domestic shipments to our customers. You will label, pack and unpack boxes, stock shelves and transport materials within the factory. You will transact inventory in the ERP system. (Intuitive) and pull parts per request from manufacturing areas. You will be responsible to fulfill sales orders to all global customers as prescribed by the Materials Planner. Ability to count and add accurately is critical, as is the ability to move boxes up and down shelves and from department to department. Must be comfortable working with computer. Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and experience with ERP systems is preferred.
Package and ship service, demo, rental and loaner orders. Understand and execute requirements for export shipping working with the export compliance group. Pull, process and ship spare parts orders. Material handling/processing to designated areas. Kit Sales Orders to prepare for shipment. Cycle counting. Pull, process transactions and deliver internal part requests. Other duties may be assigned as required. Flexing across material functions as needed.
3+ years warehouse experience, specifically in Materials handling and receiving function. Good working knowledge of MS Excel, Word, Access and Outlook. Must be able to lift 30 lbs unassisted, utilizing the correct material handling techniques. The ability to work under pressure, often to tight and changing deadlines. A flexible approach to working hours when required. Good interpersonal skills. Calm and approachable nature with the ability to communicate optimally and expertly at all levels within the organization. Self starter with good problem solving skills.
Accredited High School Diploma/GED
Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
