Chipton-Ross is seeking a Document Specialist for an opening in Germantown, MD.

Responsible for filing operations-related documents and other records in accordance with the filing system used. Locate and remove material from file when requested. The document specialist is also responsible for scanning, faxing, typing, and must be able to use Microsoft Office suite and scanner hardware/software. Perform special projects and other administrative support functions as needed. Attention to detail, dependability and ability to multi-task are essential for this position.

Organize and scan documentation related to acquisition of compounds and shipping/operations functions records; current and historic. Convert electronic records into different format. General data entry. Add new material to file records, and create new records as necessary. Box and transfer records to inactive storage according to file maintenance guidelines and/or legal requirements. Find and copy records in response to requests from supervisors. Keep records of materials filed or removed. Modify and improve filing systems, or implement new filing systems as requested. Perform periodic inspections of materials or files in order to ensure correct placement, legibility, and proper condition. Place materials into storage receptacles, such as file cabinets, boxes, bins, or drawers, according to classification and identification information. Read incoming materials in order to determine how and where they should be classified or filed. Gather materials to be filed from departments and employees. Shred miscellaneous documentation as requested by supervisors. Receive incoming shipments and supplies. Perform general office duties such as answering phones, typing, and operating office machines. Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.

Accredited High School Diploma/GED


Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
