Chipton-Ross is seeking a Marketing Specialist for an opening in Carlsbad, CA.

The Marketing Specialist is a member of the Global Market Development Team within the qPCR business of the client. You will support the development and execution of global marketing campaigns, with the primary aim to raise awareness and drive sustained demand and lead generation. You support a wide range of downstream marketing activities for a portfolio of products focused on research applications in qPCR. You should have a combination of marketing and project management skills/knowledge and be a team member who can build strong collaborative relationships with a diverse set of functional areas and colleagues across the organization.

Assist in the development and execution of qPCR marketing program deliverables, based on defined strategic marketing plans. Closely collaborate with global and regional market development managers in the development and completion of customer facing materials such as emails, banners, promotions, webpages, social media communication, and collateral. Manage the sustaining marketing activities for qPCR including updating marketing materials, web pages, emails, and other communications as they arise. Assist in the development and management of creative tactics to drive awareness of the qPCR assay portfolio and related qPCR workflow products. Assist in the development / management of Marketing Automation Projects (MAPs) to include identifying new tactics, editing and/or creating emails to fit the journey and monitoring performance. Understand the execution systems and processes and manage projects and / or marketing tactics through to completion.

A minimum of 3 years of marketing experience with a proven track record of accomplishments (managing multiple projects, meeting deadlines, staying within budget). Sharing examples would be appreciated. Previous experience working in a product marketing environment is desired. Scientific knowledge is a plus but is not essential. Able to work with minimal supervision after clear direction is given. Must be detail oriented, with the ability to identify and resolve problems. Strong business acumen, understanding of analytical metrics and customer focus are essential. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to gain consensus and facilitate decision making within a matrixed environment. Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint. Excellent communication, both verbal and written.

Accredited Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, marketing, or communications.
Equivalent experience will be considered.
