- Chipton-Ross is seeking a QC Scientist II for an opening in Pleasanton, CA.
Plans and performs quality control testing of reagents and kits utilizing the RapidHIT ID System and PCR systems in support of Consumable Manufacturing. Collects and analyzes data for final disposition using preapproved documentation as well as troubleshoots assays. Complete QC documentation and prepare Certificates of Analysis. Performs and documents equipment maintenance. Maintain laboratory testing inventory and supplies. Initiates problem reporting (deviations, non-conformances, failures, corrective and preventive actions) via TrackWise and performs root cause investigation and analysis for OOS as required. Ensuring the laboratory is well-stocked and resourced. Recording and sometimes interpreting results to present to senior colleagues. Using computers and performing mathematical calculations for the preparation of reports. Following and ensuring strict safety procedures and required PPE. Perform other activities as directed by QC Manager.
Must be skilled in basic molecular biology techniques. Working knowledge of general cGMP lab compliance. Good pipetting technique. Proficiency in Excel. Ability to perform independently & as part of a team. Ability to work in dynamic, fast paced team environment. Excellent communication/interpersonal and presentation skills.
Experience in Pharmaceutical, Medical Device, or clinical lab QC environment. Experience with ISO 9001/ 13485 and good documentation practices
Accredited Degree in biochemistry, chemistry, molecular biology, or related degree
Accredited MS + 1-2 years relevant industry experience
Accredited BS + 3-5 years relevant industry experience
Shift: 11am to 8pm
Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
