- Chipton-Ross is seeking an Accountant for an opening in Hillsboro, OR.
An opportunity exists for a results-oriented professional to be a member within the accounting function of the MSD Finance and Accounting organization. This role is located in Hillsboro, OR, reporting into the Sr. Finance Manager, Commercial. It requires accounting experience in a manufacturing environment with an understanding of large ERP software systems including a solid understanding of US GAAP. The main focus will be to support the MSD Commercial business with general accounting functions, utilizing fundamental accounting theories and concepts. There will also be some operational finance activities. This position offers the right candidate a significant opportunity for career development and growth.
Manage forecast and actuals of organizational operating expenses, headcount, capital expenditures, depreciation, Nanoport training and expense, and other expenses as necessary. Support the regional commercial team with developing the monthly forecast and measuring progress against the forecast. Assist in month-end and quarter-end closes including accounting for, and reconciling sales inventory, deferred training revenue, commission activities, and other accounts as necessary. Contribute to the preparation of the reporting packages, taking advantage of opportunities to improve usefulness and efficiency. Support ad-hoc internal, divisional, and group requests as needed
3-5+ years of professional experience in Accounting or Accounting & Finance. MBA / CMA an advantage. Advanced Excel knowledge helpful. Experience with ERP systems at a G/L level. Hyperion Financial Management and Power BI experience valuable. The successful candidate is personable, highly ethical and thrives in a collaborative environment. Strong interpersonal skills with the proven ability to build and maintain relationships and communicate professionally to all levels of an organization. Proactive communication capabilities, identifying and addressing issues via candid dialogue. Must operate effectively in a complex matrix organization, have a track record of developing high levels of credibility and forging solid and positive professional relationships with peers and leadership. Ability to work independently, multi-task and respond to requests in timely manner in a dynamic and fast-paced business environment. Exceptional analytical, problem solving and critical thinking skills. Self-motivated with high bias for action and accountability. Solid understanding of U.S. GAAP concepts with proven technical accounting skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, and Outlook. Accredited Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
