Chipton-Ross is seeking a Specialist Software Engineer for an opening in Huntsville, AL
This position contributes to the development of embedded real-time control system software and/or application software by performing software requirements analysis, design, implementation, unit test and integration tasks under the general guidance of a project team lead. The ideal candidate will have had extensive experience in embedded and real-time software development and the C/C++ programming language. The candidate will be responsible for creating and maintaining software development documentation throughout the software development lifecycle.
Experience in the following areas required:
5+ years of experience in embedded real-time and/or application software
9+ years of experience developing C/C++ code
Solid verbal and written communication skills Demonstrated team work experience
Real-time OS (vxWorks/Integrity/Redhat Linux/NI Linux/QNX) experience Communications Protocols (1553, TCP/IP, RS-422) Knowledge of assembly/machine-level languages, Microsoft Visual Studio IDE, Code Composer Studio, Eclipse and Tortoise SVN Understanding of CMMI Level 3 and greater software processes preferred
Requires a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering and nine (9) or more years of engineering experience in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
