Chipton-Ross is seeking an FPGA Design Engineer for a contract opportunity in Louisville, CO.
This position is 100% onsite.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
o Utilizing SystemVerilog, Verilog, or VHDL
o Involved in all phases of software development
o Participating in Advanced Development Program research and development
o Creating architecture design, logic design, and system simulation
o Simulation and analysis of Application-Specific Integrated Circuits (ASIC) and Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGA)s
REQUIREMENTS:
o Experience with complex electronics and embedded systems, such as FPGA and hardware development.
o Xilinx FPGA design experience.
o Vivado and Questa experience
o Minimum of 3-10+ years of SystemVerilog or Verilog/VHDL
o Constrained random testbench development

DESIRED SKILLS:
o Experience with agile development, configuration management and continuous integration processes and methodologies.
o Experience preparing system architectures and appropriate UML diagrams.
o Strong mentoring skills and experience leading groups.
o Strong technical communication skills (experience communicating technical designs to non-technical customers and communicating customer desires to technical team).
o Experience with industry standard agile development tools, such as Jira and Confluence.
o Understanding of networking and PCIe standards.
o Comfortable working with internal and external stakeholders to resolve issues.
o Ability to adapt well to change, as the working environment has evolving requirements and dynamic schedules.
